Certainly a lot of things change over the years, technology, my aging etc. but that Elan was a great sled! It was easy to start, reliable, go anywhere, and go 60mph on a cold night. If only it would turn when you wanted it to! :inlove:
Actually both the Elan, and the &#39;77 Olympique are still in service, with young families. That&#39;s good to see! :lookaround:

Im only 13 turning 14 soon but my first sled in i think 1999 i had a 1979 arctic cat 283 but me n my dad pout a 340 motor in it, it ran amazing n since it was my first sled we spray painted it black n oput some silver flames on it lol after that sled i had a 1992 indy lite 340 n i sold that and bought a 1998 mxz race sled its alot of fun WHEN it runs lol its been bogging down lately dunno wats wrong but yah thts about it for me next sled i want next year is a 1999 xc 500 :D

I only started getting my own at the end of last season after my cousins gave me a non-working one for free that was almost never ridden so I haven't had many.

1974 artic cat panther 340 1978 artic cat el tigre 440 1983 polaris indy trail 1986 polaris indy 600 1993 artic cat EXT 550 1996 artic cat ZRT 600 i put 12,820 miles on this machine with no motor problems at all amazeing machine. 2001 ski doo mxz 700 put 9,684 hammer down miles on this machine then rebuilt motor. 2009 mxz 800 renagade hope i can hang on test rode a buddys up dated 08 qickest stock sled to 100 mph ever been on.

1983 Polaris Star (244 single) My cousin and I would blow that sucker up every other year...lol. It's hard tryin to keep up with bigger sleds on that.
1980 Polaris TX 340 F/A- My buddy would let me ride that when he rode his Jag 340.
1999 Yamaha Vmax SX 600- This is still in the fam, it's my cousin's sled full time now. We bought it with 200 mi on it about 2 years ago, it is spotless.
2000 Yamaha SX-R 700 Triple- I bought this last year since now I'm hooked on Yamaha's. Now my cousin and I don't have to take turns...

First sled of my own (when I first got back into the sport) was a 2000 Arctic Cat ZR 500 EFI. When I was riding with my Grandfather in the 80's, it was an 80 ish Arctic Cat El Tigre. Don't ask the CC's cause I was too young to care back then.
