Brooke is Jeff Gordon's wife. She's sueing him for divorce. There have been rumours about him.
Since this forum isn't one of the other boards (racing ones especially), let's just leave it at that guys.
LicknOutaTheCatsDish 06-19-2002, 11:54 AM revrnd:
We were in the pit terrace, right behind Newman and Hendrick's pits, Johnson and Gordon were in pits 4 and 5, Newman in 2. *We thought we'd give those a try, our 14 year is a big Newman fan, which we are also since he's from our area in South Bend. *We were really happy with the seats, they were only $40 ea, and really made you feel more closer to the race. *You really can't see everything anyway. *We probably will go that route again.
Side note...Wife has already stated she's giving up her support for the ol blue duece (Crusty Rusty)and moving over to 48 Lowes for the future...can't say that I blame her. *I have had my thoughts this year also with switching from the Interstate Batteries Grand Prix, but I have to have that color year round...I BLEED GREEN. *Hopefully the 03 Grand Prix will get'm a little more competitive.
NASCAR really helps the summer go by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Machzzzz1 06-19-2002, 12:15 PM I saw a F1 race in montral, *I saw a Cart race in toronto. *And both of them didnt come close the the Nascar Race i saw in Pocono a few weeks ago. *
Nascar is the ultimate form of *racing. *You dont have a car like in F1 which is drivin by computer and can be worked on from a computer. *They also sound wimpy.
When a Nascar fires up it like HOLD EVERYTHING. *Awsome. *
I have been a fan of NASCAR for ever but only saw my first live race at pocono. *I will not waste any more money on F1 and Cart when I can watch real racing, Racing built for american car owners.
LicknOutaTheCatsDish 06-19-2002, 12:34 PM I hear ya MachZ...
When they come to the green flag if the hair on your arms doesn't stand, then there's something wrong with you. *It makes me shake just thinking about it. *I can think of no where else that crowds like that doesn't bother me, it's like you are all in it together. *Our next venture is going to be a short track, probably Martinsville, just because it is so much cheaper than Bristol. *Although, we are gonna check out the Busch at Indianapolis Raceway Park the night before the Brickyard...looking forward to that also.
I believe what they say about NASCAR..."ALL OTHER SPORTS *REQUIRE JUST ONE BALL!"
revrnd 06-19-2002, 04:57 PM My neighbour who works in the plant that will be building the '03 GPs say he has seen a couple & they look wider & lower than the '02s. My brother works in the stamping plant that makes the major sheet metal for the Monte, Impala & the Buicks. He hasn't mentioned seeing any of the Pontiac sheet metal going thru.
We've had our Section 3 seats since '88. Been going to MIS since 86. Went to Talladega last fall & going again this year. I've also been to the Rock & Atlanta.
I saw that the '03 was being tested @ Atlanta, but haven't seen any photos. There have been rumblings that Chev may change the front end of the Monte Carlo. My brother hasn't seen any new hood or fender dies coming into the plant yet & 03 production will start in late July, so it may just be a new fascia on the SS. The other possibilty would be a interim intro. Mind you NASCAR ususally wants a car for sale before you can race it.
Any info, I'll post on Chit Chat.
dooman 06-19-2002, 07:28 PM dollar for dollar the friday night races at gas city I-69 speedway are better than any cup race I have been too.I have been to bristol 6 times both races cup/busch,mis been there for both races the last 10 years(best big track they run),the rock 2 times, charlotte 4.but if you want to talk about the most macho machine to see and hear that would be any fuel car running,be it a top fuel rail or a funny car these boys shake the ground with there 5000+ hp engines granted it does not last long but the experiance is the best.but anyone coming to the brickyard feel free to come to gas city, pit pass only 16 bucks unless its a special show, find the 42g sprint and I will be close by if not getting it ready.I promise the show will be worth it best racing you'll see is when 22 of these 1300 lbs. 700+hp(ours 767) cars are going at it on 1/4 dirt oval sideways through the corner and pulling the wheels down the straits. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
