http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif I have a 01 mxz 700 and I heard that the stock single piston ring has alot of blowby. Would a 2 ring piston give better performance, less or equal? Does any one make a 2 ring piston for this sled? Reliablity is still my number 1 concern.

I believe that Bill Cudney and a few others had comments relating to this a while back. *I beleive they stated that there were gains to be had from 2 ring pistons. *Also, I beleive they referred to Wiseco making just such a unit. *Hopefully they will answer your thread.

Bill has a piston for the 700's that uses two rings. The upper ring is an L ring like the ones that seadoo used. It uses compression to force the ring to the cylinder wall to seal the rings. In turn you cut blowby way down. I would think that you would have to watch carb jetting after installing the pistons due to the increased cylinder pressure, IMHO

Thanks for your replies, If I can find a kit I will post the results.
