I bought a 1999 ZR 600 efi last winter that had 800 miles on it, with some body extras and a cover for 3 grand with my only regret being that I didn't get a powder special or mountain cat, but I am in the process of converting mine. If you know the guy selling it or he has some maintence records for it I would say it is a good deal.

I always take a good look under the hood, if the engine compartment is realativly clean I figure that maintence has been pretty good. Also check the track for missing chunks, etc..


The low retail according to NADA guide is 2800 for a ZR 600 efi.

I think thats a good deal. You have to remember prices are different in locations.

I sold a 2002 ZL 600ss for 3200.00
