As I recall, MN drivers license is about $25 to renew every 4 yrs. and plates/tags go by the value of the vehicle. *More expensive vehicle=more money for plates and tags, or maybe its just for tags.. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sarcasm.gif *Anyway, I think the "average" I payed for plates was around $200ish and you only need plates once for the vehicle, tags are around $80 and are every 3 yrs. I think.(having a hard time remembering this stuff for some reason!)LOL

In NY depends on the type of vehicle you have, passenger car, commercial, etc. For my wifes Subaru I paid $41.50 for 2 years. For my pick-up I paid $63.50 for 2 years. Drivers license was $43, but good for 8 years.

Yup, most US states tax you accoriding to vehicle value. *License plates for the Dodge and Samurai (just did these two vehicles) came to $99.63. *This was for farm truck plates on the Dodge, and my "Animal Friendly" plates for the Samurai. *It would have been $65 more if I would have kept the "Animal Friendly" plates on the Dodge.

I haven't registered the 75 Mercedes yet since that one doesn't run, and the Saturn plates were part of the purchas price.

Drivers license for me is ~$25 for 5 years for my commercial drivers license.

phazerhater was close. *MN tags/plates depend on your vehicle. *I think the last I paid was $36.50, and that's all the cheaper they get.
I've moved twice in the last year, and it cost $8 for a new license with new address. *But that's not really a renewal, because the expiration date hasn't changed. *Maybe it is $25 to renew. *Not expensive, anyway.
However, I've heard vanity plates are expensive in MN.

OK, looks like $18.50 for a license renewal and $100 for personalized plates.

I honestly don't remember. *I drive a company vehicle, so nothing for plates.

But its not that much in Ontario. *Like $35/yr or so.

I just paid $15 for my sled licence sticker.

Here in Saskatchewan its $25 a year for licence and about $1200 a year to plate a 4x4 truck *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Plates are calculated on statistics on how many times that particular model of vehicle has been in accidents. Trucks are the most expensive vehicles to plate. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nervous.gif
