Got up this morning at 10:30. Messed around on the computer for about 30 minutes while I woke up. *Then had to "get with the program."

Brought in my mixing bucket from outside, and measured my needed quantity of Lye.

Took bucket outside, and poured 8 gallons of Methanol into the bucket. *Dissolved Lye in bucket.

Poured the mixture into my barrel that had 40 gallons of oil already pre measured from yesterday, and turned on trolling motor to mix.

While mixing. I fed animals and had "breakfast."

After allowing mixing to occur for an hour, shut off trolling motor and cleaned it up to put away. *Put lid on barrel to allow BD and soap to seperate.

Got cleaned up and hopped in pickup to go to town. *

Picked up another 35 gallons of used oil with recalictrant pump that has decided to refuse to pump without being partially submerged in the oil barrel. *Pick up fuel filter at auto parts store. *Buy another barrel for processed fuel storage.

Come home, and pull out junker push mower that a friend of mine found, fixed up and brought over. *

Mow overgrown areas that my tractor cannot get into with junker push mower. *

Collapse for another 30 minutes to cool of and fend off heat exhaustion (mid 90's today with high humidity http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif ).

I hate summer. * http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Sanford and Son is actually a pretty accurate description of my place right now!! *I'm the neighbour that some people like to bitch about. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

I have the ugliest house on the street (in process of repairing severe damage done by previous owner.

I have four cars parked in front (and I'm single)

I still have two piles of junk left by previous owner (gonna burn this stuff and get it over with.)

Then there are the ducks penned in the front (so I'll remember to feed and water them).

As for the oil, I make my own fuel for my truck and tractor. *When the Benz is on the road, it'll run on a steady diet of the stuff as well. *Same for the Samurai when I get its engine swap done. *I just checked on the batch made this morning. *Finally, after a couple of months of delays and broken equipment, I checked the process barrel to find that I actually made fuel instead of a mess.

I get the oil for free, so the cost for me to process the oil to diesel fuel (when things DON'T break) is $.60 per gallon. *I'll know what my actual yield is tomorrow morning when I pump the fuel out of the processing barrel.

Looks like I'm finally back to driving to and from work on veggie oil!! * http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

When I'm running this stuff, my vehicles exhaust smells like french fries. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Can't do it yet. *I vest a pension with my company in three months. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

Then I will have to get this house finished so that it would actually sell. *I cannot finish this place untill some credit cards get paid off - another 9 months there. *Then add another 6 months to finish the house. *Since the gap between selling it as is, and selling it fixed up is over $70K, I'm going to spend the bux and get it right.

THEN I'll get to re-evaluate a move back up north.
