:bash: I'm looking at buying a 2004 F6 EFI. I was just made aware by CatTracker that the sled was an ER (Early Release). Is it worth less than a true 2004 F6? I see some posts that are calling them '03 F6's. Everyone seems to think the ER's are the fastest of them all but I've got people telling me that it's basically a 2003 and that I shouldn't pay a 2004 price. :bash:

Pleease give me some insight as to what other members aer thinking

i dont see how they can call it an 03. I have an EB and it was made in 04 and sold in 04. some were bought early 04 but i bought mine last fall. There are a few things that the eb's dont have that the 04's have. but all of the major upgrades that cat made for 04, the EB's have. so there is no worry about having any problems that the 03 f7's have.

as far as the EB's being faster than the regular 04's, that is not true with mine. But i have heard that some guys think that some of teh earliest EBs did possibly have a reprogrammed ecu in them. So just send your ecu to AC and have them reprogram it for 1000 feet.

30$ aint bad at all either way,,,, specially if they are going to hook you up for your type of riding,,,,

yeh it aint bad at all. u can get it reprogramed for 660' as well but its pushing it for the trial. i know of a few guys that are riding sleds with the 660 program but i wouldnt. if u want to hold off, i will be testing both, the stock box and reprogramed first of december and i will let u know what i find out. from what i hear it can give you an exrta length or two but i am kinda skeptical on 2 legnths.

i guess what happens is that it leans the sled out on top, that why it wouldnt be safe using a 660' program for trial riding. seems as though getting the box done is far better than getting a timing key. i guess i will know in a few weeks.
