can someone please tell me about the 73 TNT 300, i picked one up for free and its pretty rough but the previous owner said it ran last year so i thought i could have a fun, cheap sled to play around with but upon further inspection through the exuast ports it wasn't cheap anymore, the PTO side burned down so bad the top ring was non existent, the mag side isn't to bad tho, its still runable, can someone tell me if the cylinders are nicasil or iron? can they be honed? how much would a piston, rings and a head run me? how about a cylinder if its not honable
Thanks
why would you need a head? is it chipped up from the ring or what? anyway, the a piston and rings are about $40.00.

Pull off the head and see how bad the bore is. It should be a steel liner and is honeable so you can hone small grooves out. I've got a used WISECO piston for that model, should be 57 mm. I'd let it go for $15 plus shipping if interested.

well i did pull off the jug and it is honeable if its not nikasil, and i am interested in that piston, what about rings or wrist pin? got those? The head its all burnt up and it lookes similar to the piston, i think it might be from the ring getting smashed up in between the piston and head. I will post pics tomorow

The Wiseco piston is a single ring type and comes with ring, wristpin and rod bearing.
