lookin at a 2000 rmk 800, but i read that the crank bearings on the clutch side weren't wide enough, not enough contacting surface to the case or something  was just wondering if anyone new about these motors
good or bad???????

I know there are some motors that let go, including the one owned by the Snotech editor. I have to wonder though, what percentage of these motors let go? 1 in 20? 1 in 100? We are talking about a high performance motor. I own an '02, have several friends that own '01 through '04, mostly running jetting/clutching. We've run the daylights out of these and have not yet had a failure of any kind. Have to wonder if all the publicity regarding this issue available here and on other sites may be blowing the problem out of proportion. Only time will tell.

My '02 has 4500 or so, my brother's '01 has closer to 7000. His is probably the oldest/highest milage of the bunch. This crank issue, if it is one, would be the only thing I know of regarding the '00 RMK. My '00 SKS has been perfect.....
