I'm thinking about putting a tempa flow in my 01 xc 700. A friend of mine put one in and swears by it .
The question I have is on really cold days (-20 to -30) do you still have to feather the throttle or can you hold it wide open across a lake and not have to worry about burning it down.
Or has anyone had any problems with one?

As long as your base jetting is set for the lowest temperature you intend to ride in there shouldn't be any trouble. The only time to take care is after the machine spend some time indoors or after a heat soak (parked at a restaurant you should allow the compensator to cool to the true outside temperature before you commence any sled punishment. I also have one of these units and it has always done as advertised.

If i stay at the factory jetting as a base line I should be good to go with that. as they are known to be a rich setting correct or do i still have to change the jets I ride in 20 below at times but for the most part its 0 to 30.

thanks for the info
