Finally got the Summit ready for winter but putting the carbs back on I notice there is an open male hose connector on the DPM (standard engine, not the HO version of DPM) right under the hose that's connected to the air box. Is it just supposed to be open? I would think there should be a vacuum plug on it or something? Could someone look at their (non-HO) sled and let me know?

Thanks,

G

G-man it's all good. My 2003 800 Non-Ho(nice girl) :) has the same hose missing. I questioned my dealer about this day one when i took it out of the crate. It is supposed to be that way. I think that is the intake hole for the system to calculate compensation.

SWEET! Thanks Perma.

I used to have a Porsche 951 Turbo and was racing this friend of my girlfriend who had a new Trans Am down some backroads. I was smoking him until about 110 mph and my car starts acting up (hesitating) and he blows by me. I was PISSED and brought it back in to the dealer. Turns out they'd forgotten to re-connect a vacuum hose (car was serviced the prior week) and that made all the difference. I never saw that guy again and never heard the end of that one either from my girlfriend's friends. So, needless to say, I FREAK when I see a vacuum hose disconnected!

Cheers,

It was used on the 670X dpm for enrichment for starting, a feature they removed on later sleds. No worrys its blocked off internally, no cap needed
