So i went out for the first ride of the year...and the sled is running fine just ripping and goin good then i stopped to wait for a buddy and the sled idled right down and then started to run only on one cylinder...so i change the plug and it runs great again all the way home...I am writing this because last year the sled blew up twice and ive put way too much money into it... The sled kept fowling plugs in the same fashion last year before it blew...so what should i do sell the sled or just keep changing plugs until it is broke in and i haveno more mixed gas?

also the sled is a 98 powder special 600 efi...clutched and a stinger..

please help

also is the secondary supposed to move back and forth a bit by hand?

yes the secondary is supposed to move a little

Did you ever find out why it blew up the last 2 times or did your just rebuild it without knowing what went wrong?

Why are you using mixed gas? You have oil injection. .... Think about it. Two sources of oil, no wonder you are fouling plugs.

What when wrong when it blew up last time?
Rod? Hole in the piston? Piston skirts fall off?

If your mixing and oil injecting I can see a rod problem.
Did you re-jet for not using the oil injector? It is EFI......hmm
If you useing good synthectic oil it might flow through the injectors with out any problem.
I have seen a lean condition in mixers with too cold of intake air.

Need more info.....
Don out.

Well the first time is blew it was a crank issue and the second time i had bad luck and got a faulty crank...a bolt came out of the crank and made its way through the engine into my exhaust... also I was told to mix the gas anyways when i am breaking it in... I talked to my mechanic today and he said just keep toppin it off with more supreme fuel until all of the oil is used up then it will b good to go

Yes 100:1 mix for break in is good for the first tank.
If it keeps fouling plugs keep going hotter till it stops fouling and run hard.
In the hight of the storm let the machine perform. Don't worry it will be fine!

I alwayse thought that you shouldnt mix the gas in the tank if it is an efi sled.
the oil is to thick to run through the injectors.
thats what i was told.
