OK, i have a 99' zr440 sno pro, got the thing with a blown motor, rebuilt the top and bottom etc, went to clean and inspect power valves and there is nothing in there, so i need some. did some research and found a part # for an update kit part# 0637-186 , but know one seems to know what this kit consists of, it's like $450.00 so before i spend that kind of coin i would like to know what i'm getting, also how will this sled run with no power valves at all, any way info would be much appreiciated because every one i talk to knows nothing :cussing: , and it's starting to get cold..;...even it you could point me in the right direction to used valves or some one who knows anything about this topic
Thanks
HELP please?

the valve kit should be all new valve assembly. if i remember right the problem w/ the valves was that they were 2 pc & half was steel half alum. the alum would get hot and seize up. the update valves are all steel. you can run it w/ out the valves but you'll need to block off the holes.

I see there were a few updates that may affect your sled ....updates (http://www.waconiafarm.com/departments/ArcticCat/Snowmobile/default.aspx)...you may want to check into them.

Thanks for the info, as far as blocking the holes, can i just make a plate to cover where the valves go, so exhaust doesn't reach up into the cover or do i have to machine a type of plug to go down a little into the power valve chamber, also how will it run??, those service bulletins shed some light on a few things thanks
Thanks Ryan
