I was considering buying the EGT Pyro 2000 exhaust temperature gauge. I don't really want to invest a huge amount of money at this time. I want to put the RK Tech heads on my 01 800 MXZ and complement the heads with some sort of exhaust temperature monitoring since I have read a great deal about the lean mid range of the 800. This setup appears to be simple and straight forward. Anyone had any good or bad experiences with this item?

i have not used them but i heard they were no good. *some people were having probems with them. *I would recomend a Digitron EGT two tachs and one rpm gauge

I looked at the Pyro and went with the Racepak Avenger I instead. *It includes 2 EGT inputs and a tach. *The optional thumb switch lets you toggle the display and record up to six minutes of data.

See attached photo.

Hope this helps,
