Here's a picture in front of the camp after we emptied the moving truck. Getting ready to leave-we had a total of 8 sleds. They thought since I had a camp there I knew where I was going.......silly to make assumptions.......

I doubt that there is much of anything left in Colden. I am heading down to Lawtons tomorrow. I will swing over and check it out and let you know. SWRules

Colden New York

This was the hot spot to ride today.

12 to 18 inches on the ground , good in the open fields not so good in the bush.

Put on about 40 miles and will need to do some cleaning tomorrow.

Good opportunity to run the sleds and get them set up.

I would not go after Jan 11 am as things will get messy fast.

Seen about 10 other sleds out in the area.

Hey spikegary, I think that picture above is a buddy of yours Pete/ny. Looks like he lost something in all that powder. :)

Yeah, that would be him-he said he spent a bit of time the following day getting the mud off his sled, but it was still sledding.......more tha I can say-my new sled is sitting in the garage with 0.1 on the odo.

It's a sad thing.

My last ride in New York last year was the same as my first ride there this year. We had 3 hours of riding and 4 hours of cleaning. My machines dont like mud and either do I. But like you said it was a ride and the upper trails had powder. The temperature is going down and I would think by the end of the month things should be looking up.
