Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I am looking to give an upgrade to my brother (Brother D) for Christmas. What I would like to give him is a conversion to move from a stock handlebar/goose neck system on a 2001 ZR to the new snow-pro bar / riser style on the newer machines.

Has anyone done this before? Can you give me suggestions on what to do. My plan was to buy an off brand riser and get him a set of new bars (A.C. originals). I can't go to big with the riser as he doesnt want to mess with cable extenders. Will all of the junk that goes on the bars swap from old bars to new? What about hand warmers (do I need to get the grips/warmers for the new bars as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i did a conversion on my sled, i know it's not an ac but for doo's usualy ur safe up to 2 inches at the most beforeu have to play with some extension cables, so basically if u want ur bros sled to have the stock look i believe ur gonna have to put some cable extensions, the throttle is the only one i had problems with my heated grips and kill switch were good. hope this helps a bit
