zr22 12-06-2004, 06:21 PM I was wondering if anybody knew what a zr 700's max rpms should be around. Right now it is about 8000-8100 at about 85mph. It is on the highest setting on the secondary. Im not sure if this is to fast or too slow. In the manual for my 99 Zl it says what it should be but the 2000 manual doesn't. Thanks. Lower rpm will pull harder in a drag race and a little higher is better for all around riding and back shifting. performancex 12-09-2004, 06:13 PM I wouldn't want to go much higher because engine stress really starts to rise beyond 8000 rpm. zr22 12-09-2004, 06:29 PM Thanks.
