Hey guys, considering purchasing a 1990-1993 Mazda B2200, 5-speed shortbox, regular cab.....

What kind of balls does this truck have? What horespower are we looking at? Torque? Can it tow boats? Haul sleds??

And fun stuff like, can she peel the tires? without dumping the clutch? what is top speed? what is power like?

this will be my first car, would this be a good choice?

thanks-neil

I had a '93. Got it with 130,000 km and sold it with 250,000 km. It is a reliable vehicle, but it is no speed demon. Real easy to work on with lots of room under the hood. I would not tow too much too far with it, but it could probably haul 2 sleds without too much trouble. I will take a good bit of abuse, of course that depends on how much abuse it has taken to this point. It can spin the tires ok, but mainly because the back end is so light. Hope this helps.

It's a 2wd truck, and a stick, dump the clutch and you can burn those babies all you want.

The fact that this is your first car and your asking what the top speed is scares me, unless you plan on testing such speeds at a race track. Top speeds get kids killed, or put in jail.

Dont get me wrong, i'm very repsonsible, and i dont plan on testing out the top speed, i was just trying to get an idea of what type of power it has. :) LoL. So it sounds like it can spin them Ok. Can it do it without dumping the clutch?

i don't know about that particular vehicle, but i heavily recommend any mazda. they are really reliable, run forever and easy to work with.
