When i had my recall done to my 01 mxz 800 i told them to leave the mpem alone because i heard that it retards it 2 degrees on top of the new break- in to match the 02 timming. Does anybody know the difference in timming between the two.

Don't know what the difference is but i took my 01 800 in last winter and had them advance timing by 2 degrees and when i told them to do it they didn't try to persuade me not to do it

sledcrazy, the bulletin on your 01 MXZ 600 is to replace the carb needles and adjust the pilot screws only. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/exclamation.gif *There's no need to touch to touch the MPEM on yours. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *The bulletin is for a high fuel consumption condition.

From what I understand, is that the updated timing retards the timing 1 degre less at advance. I could not tell a difference atall in my sled.
