I found a set of twin psi pipes for my sled(1999 zr 700) They are coming off a 700 motor but they say they have been tuned for the motor. If i buy the pipes could I use them on my sled if they have been tuned for the other motor that they have been on? Also they are twin mufflers and will I have to cut a hole in my lower pan for the extra muffler to exit? Thanks for the help.

Are they the regular PSI pipes and silencers? Sounds like the seller may just be trying to sound fancy... If they are the regular pipes PSI sells they should fit and exit your pan with no mods required.

So what you ar e saying is that they should work. Psi and some motor builder got together and tuned this motor w/ these pipes. They came out of a drag sled. Also what kind of work should be donw if these pipes are installed? Just a ball park what is the normal jet change? May be 1 or 2 above stock. I live in ny and run between 0-2000 feet. Thanks

I have an 01 ZR 800 that I just put Black Magic twins on. They say the jetting for -20 F is a 450 main jet.
I'm going with that- plus using a tempa flow II which will dial me in from -20 to 40 F.
I think the best person to get answers to all your questions would be the guy that is selling the pipes. Why is he selling them? Did he blow up his motor all the time or what? Those are pretty important questions.
Are you getting a good deal on these pipes?

If the pipes are tuned specific for that sled, especially being a drag sled, I wouldn't bother. Drag pipes are way diferent that your every day trail rider pipes. Drag pipes heat up very quickly and are....I guess you could say "tighter" than a trail pipe.
