hello, here is my dilemma.I just bought a used govorner cup from a guy on this site. His name is skidoodle the cup is in mint shape,He had it shipped to my door in three day's and saved me about 300 bones.....So here is the question on this gov cup there are two little weights.Do they balance the cup or the clutch? Should I leave them there or take them off.I never noticed them on my old cup. When I put this cup on do I have to have the clutch balanced?Any help would apppreciated.

According to the racing manual(s) each component is balanced individually you can mix TRA components as long as you respect the alignment marks. You should never mix and match TRA clutch components built in Canada or Austria. Stick with one country of build as there are tolerance issues.

Thumbdoctor is absolutely right. Each component is balanced separately. In your case, the Governor Cup and the machine riveted dampener is balanced as an assy. with clips. My sled has so much torque, I broke the bond between the gov. cup and dampener. Go 4 Doo.

Does anyone have a pic of where these weights would be? I'm only familiar w/ the "hockey puck" that is riveted to the outside.
