Malchum,
* *A guy who got banned last fall after he challenged machzMan and others informed me that the trip you posted isn't a zx chassis. he pointed out all sorts of things on it that are the old chassis. I guess it's real easy to mount a zx belly pan and hood. *Eveyone looking for the info will have to wait till sat for me to find the infi and possibly till monday,Sorry. Oh and that flame paint job on the turbo sled only cost $400 Canadian dollars!!!!!!!! i about died when they told me that. I may have the guy do some painting for me! And whoever asked about Crank Shop know that they rock period.

Interesting! I'm guessing he said it was a S-chassis with
the exterior cosmetics of the ZX. Would like to hear your
(or his) thoughts on this. What was his forum name?

Do you have any sources for air brushing a hood that you
have found? Looking for some one local to paint my hood
for me. Then just need to come up with a scheme.

Whoever is interested in the MXZ700 Big Bore, PM me and I can set you on the right track.

As far as the tripple sled pictured, it is a aftermarket chassis i believe. Whatever it is, it is not a stock ZX chassis. It lookes like Tison to me. The gas tank looks Polaris, and lots of stuff behind the airbox doesn't look Doo.

The company builds extemely high end mojntain stuff. There used sleds are going for $12,000 to $21,000 usd. It ws a s-chassis and good eye for the polaris tank, I *wondered if any one would catch that. *I'm going to be back home in the morning and at that time I'll find all the info for you guys that have pm'd and emailed me for the zx conversion.

I am not totally convinced it is a S Chassis. Look at the running boards. They are very wide, and have a step on the back of them like the Tison Chassis. I cannot see someone cutting off running boards and welding on new ones, it would not be very durable.

That is how it looks to me.

Well I'm a little bummed out that it's not a true ZX. I do
not own a ZX so I wouldn't know that well and I did question
wether or not it was a S-chassis tank but either way I'd
still give my left nut to clamp it to the bar just to see
what she's made of. That pic was from X-racer if I remember
correctly.

They use all different pieces. They make complete sleds and parts like tunnels and bulk heads. So it may have part of there chassis mixed in 800MXZ.

With the exchange rate as of yesterday being 1.54 Ca to $1 us dollar the conversion kit costs $1036 US dollars. A real good deal.

I`m sure I`m gonna be corrected if I`m misinformed but dosent that motor bolt right in to the mounts?http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif? Custom pipes are available from I know at least the crank shop, and once your center to center is set, a belt number can be derived. Wassup? Are you thinking suspension mods?

Sled Dogg

Ballsout,
* * There is a huge list of parts that is included with the conversion kit. And no it doesn't just drop in. Alot of things have to be re-routed or moved. Chris includes every single piece you'll need but the airbox i believe. I no longer have the *email detailing what is included but it's a ton of stuff. With his kit you drive a sled in ,pull the motor and use his kit and you'll be riding that same day. Who'd have to get the pipes also of course from him or other company. Jaws makes his pipes to his specifacations F.Y.I.

steering shakt(post) is differant on the triple conversion, the fluid tanks are also differant, the air box is a ck3 with his top to pull air from the stock zx opening ,front bumper mounts are replaced with diff. ones.it has torque rods to help hold the engineas well. his kit when priced to me was everything except the motor ,electronics, carbs and fuel pump.his kit has a plug in harness so you are not splicing wires and making a cobbled mess with pipes was quoted to me at around 1800 u.s. funds.

Sled Dogg
07-26-2002, 03:07 PM
It's $1600 Canadian per chris about *2 months ago. And he keeps atleast one kit in stock at all times. I was quoted by one of you guys teh 1800 and that seemed way to much so I called him anfd that is when he said it's 1600 CA Money. Now with his pipes it would be around 1800 us.

Dooman,
*Thanks but I found out a few days ago a kid is on the way so I'll have to pass. I'm sinking all my cash into my new office and now I'll probably have to come up with some money to buy a house a whole lot sooner than i thought. *I'm still going ahead with the project though. I sent Tim a message asking aboiut the FIII motor. I may be piocking up a 809 soon though. I have to get started on the project or I'll keep saying later. I want a motor or chassis by sept 15 and every thing by oct 1. Work is going really good so it shoulkd all be good. But a child deffinetly wasn't in my plans, atleast it isn't do till around march or april.
