I am picking up my bike on Mon. and was wondering who else here rides street bikes. Maybe a fun Sat ride would be in order?

nice idea, but i think we are all to streched out for that. It would be cool though if a few people could get together.

What did you get? * This past spring I seriously considered buying a bike. *I looked at an used 2001 Aprilia Mille R. *I ended up wuss'n out. *I was completely blown away bike the looks and performance of it. *The motor is a 997cc v-twin manufactured by rotax. *Man are they sweet bikes. *I couldn't justify spending 14k on a bike. *I want to save my money for my dream car, which is 96-02 Pontiac Trans Am WS6.

Well, I am not sure if i am getting one now. The #### deal has to to flippen mad to even look at bikes anymore. All I have to say is that the sales dept. at Metro Powersports in Canton, MI sure needs to straiten there act out if they want to get my buissnes again.

They were calleing me everyday telling me i'm approved for financing. I was aking them what what the down payment is, what the payments were, and what the interest was, but they said they couldn't tell me over the phone? Then they didn't want to honor their add and charge me $2200 more than what we agreed on. When they finally honored the price after 5 days (Even though it was for a 2002 at the end of the model year, the 2003s were showing up, and they wanted me to pay MSRP), they still wouldn't give me any info.

Well, the SOBs went behind my back and called the wife at work, asking when I was coming to get the bike. That was it for me. The whole deal has me so P.O. that I just want to walk away from bike shopping period.

Wow, the heck with them. *Don't give up on the bike, though. *Not every dealer sucks that bad. *Just don't go near Metro again, and tell everyone you run into your story about them.

I raced one of the vtx's last evening against an 1150 suzook, same guy owns both bikes, and vtx stomped the 1150 in 1st and 2nd gear but as I shifted into 3rd I was catching him 4th I said good buy and made up the 3-4 bike I was behind and left him sitting.this is an awsome bike stoplight to stoplight(vtx).but not up to the ponies of a mid 80's 1150

Kawasaki KX 250. Live for 2 stroke power. (may very well die from it one day)

No different attitude that snow crossing, see a bump, jump it!
Unlike my sleds - it has NO mods. Plenty strong as is.

Where are you located 800MXZ? I'm in Ann Arbor and I stop at Metro often. They are a pain but I've never heard ofn them being that *bad! I know all of the dealerships around and who to go to for what. If your looking for a Yam go to Magnum Power Sports in Petersburg. They are right at the exit # 9 on US23 SB. Pro Source Suzuki is a place for great deals also, they are in Tecumseh and Monroe. It's the old Ray's Honda,Suz,Yam,Kaw dealership. There really isn't a good Honda dealership other than Metro so I can't help you for a Honda.

I live up in Gladwin on Secord Lake. They just still had 2002 VTXs and were advertising a decent price. After all of this, I would rather wait a few weeks and pay MSRP for a 2003 than get a deal from them.

The place I buy my sleds, Central Power Sports in Mt Pleasant, is a Honda dealer and have treated me great for several years. I talked to them first, and they were out of what i wanted. Heck, the owner even said he didn't blame me for going down there to save the $. But they (Metro) tried real hard to not to get my buissnes.

I work in Machine Tool Sales (CNC) and we do more buissnes is a month in sales than a place will do in 2 years. We deal with huge companies like GE, GM, Dana, Chrysler, Ford, Lockhead Martin, Boing, etc.... and we would lose our arse if we treated people like that.

I'll pay more at times for small town hospitality and customer service. I want to be treated right all the time not just when they are taking my money.
