I have a friend's sled which is a zrt 600 02. I want to check the APV valves which seem to stick. also I need to adjust the cable. does anyone know the end cable lenght that artic cat recomends??

When measuring the cables keep them as close to there installed position as possible.
While holding the cable housing, lightly pull on one cable end to remove any slack.
Measure the amount of exposed cable from the cable housing to the end of the cable.
Do not include the lead cylinder part at the end of the cable when doing the measuement, you should be measuring the cable between where it is attached to it and the housing it self. Hope this is what you were looking for.
