ummmmm fastest how? like stock overall top speed. 1000 feet 1/4 mile.... studs no studs? i wonder... Thundercat definetly the fastest on the lake (top speed) IMO. havent seen many stock sleds that can run with them on the lake at 120+

The new Mach Z is the fastest.

If you can buy it from the dealer and it has all OEM parts on it, it&#39;s stock.

I dont think the new mach Z would post a higher top speed then a thundercat... but props if they could. stock to stock

there are machs on other boards that are on gps at very close to 130!! thats what some pin weight will get ya :) T cats were definately the benchmark but I think they are no more.

I have to agree new mach z all the way.t-kitty is a little heavy for the trails for this guy.

no they stopped making the t-cat in 2002. I dont know exactly where were going with this... theres no way the new mach would be faster on the lake then a t-cat... but the mach would make it up on the trails. just my 2 cents

everyone down here that has an 05 mach says 124mph on radar. not sure what the t-cat was doin but the one i rode was awesome fast. never tried a new mach yet but i sure hope to.

I would say my free air 1976 jag 340. I think she broke 60 mph once? :p

Do not know but have had my sled up to 100 mph and that was plenty way to fast for this Guy. I did not have it wide open yet, just hit 100 and backed off.

Just looked up some times on a t-cat. one website has radar runs listed for an 01&#39; stock without studs at 126.4. Another had it listed at 127.2.... thats pretty fast for a machine....

incidentally... when riding a t-cat they are one of the coolest machines on the lake, you can sit straight up at 115 like your riding a cadillac, you dont have to tuck behind the windshield to get that extra umph, the thing has so much power it just defeats the wind hahaha.

wow,,, another one of these posts,,,, I would have to vote differently for different occasions,,, are we racing 600 foot, 1000 foot, 1/4 mile, 1 mile,,, this will make a big difference,,,
now since your wanting to get the fastest sled out there stock, do you have a budget that your following,,,

I guess I go for the tcat top end across the lake,,, that 3rd cylander is rough to beat,,,,

puree thats what I was asking after the post... i dont think we have a defined answer as to what kind of race we are talking about. maybe we can hook drag sleds up to them and see whos fastest.... hahaha

You ac guys are livin in hte past.. the tcat is not the fastest sled ne more.. sry guys DOO is takin over... the new mach is gonna be a cat killer.. :p... i give cat alot of props cause they have made some impressive sleds.. but this year doo got that mach wit a huge displacement and lotta horsepower to take ne hting stock on the ice..and maybe even some not :D

Powder I don&#39;t know if your looking at those times correctly, if you are then please link me.

A stock TCAT is detuned from the factory and has a hard enough time cracking 118MPH nevermind 127MPH.

Out of the crate, never touched the CK3 Mach Z use to be the one with the longest legs.

But by the sounds, the new 1000 Mach Z has the trophy.

There has been a lot of there conversations every year. cause people mix up top speed with 0-60 or 100. my mach will go real fast in circles now with no ski :bash: . Not sure though. as fast as the T Cats were the new Mach does seem to have more power with less weight.

Only One way to settle this argument.
We need a couple guys or gals with a 02 T-Cat, a 03 MachZ and a 05 MachZ to go head to head up the river.
Not 1000 or 1400 ft were talking WOT for a couple of KM&#39;s.

I&#39;m sure there are some sledders that would love to take on the Challenge.

So meet somewhere, Fire up the sleds and let the world know who is the fastest.

In my opinion 05 MachZ will walk the T-Cat.

I would say the triple all the way, those smooth running motors are geared for only one thing, top end!

try checking into cseracing.com and look under results. stock 1000, or winterfest.net, under speedrun results, 801+. you&#39;ll find a T-cat running 120 and change in a 1000ft.

Top three in the high speed class have to be the T-Cat, Mach Z Triple and the all new Mach Z.

Stock, out of the box, I&#39;d say New Mach. But it should, hell better be. A brand new motor, years in the making using the latest technology. A chassis built with only one goal in mind, top speed. And the price to go with it. If I bought one and it wasn&#39;t the fastest I&#39;d be taking it back.
In the real world, if you want to go fast, you buy a used T-Cat for like $5000 (or less) and spend another 3 on parts and tuning. Then go out and spank every new Mach that wants a shot. If speed is what you crave then stock wont do it for ya.

I am on board with the T-Cat. They needed a little bit of attention to get them wound up correctly. That being said I am surprised now one has said that a turbo charged RX-1 would be the top end monster. I am assuming we are not talking drag racing but overall top end. I am not a Yamaha fan but that big 4-stroke should have long legs.

turbo rx-1 isnt stock.

where&#39;s cory (mtrspt) on this topic?? he usually has #&#39;s coming out of his arse on stuff like this. 05 mach z is just over 170hp on dyno, and if i&#39;m not mistaken the t-cats are mid 160&#39;s on the dyno. a few pounds less on the mach which makes it more hp and less weight. IMO it&#39;s not proven yet so it&#39;s hard to say but it wouldnt surprise me if the mach is ontop. :thumbsup:

You guys need to get one thing straight. Numbers are numbers. In order to determine the fastest overall sled, we have to take in consideration - clutching, aerodynamics, track dimensions, mass of rotating parts, engine temperature, riding surface, rider wieght, number of km on sled, spark plugs, drive belt etc. They&#39;re all fast - the thundercat, the mach z, the rx-1, the zr 900, the F7, the mxz 800, the srx etc. But too many factors to determine a real winner.

You guys are all wrong. My Formula III 800 is the fastest. I had it doing over 150mph this summer while sitting on it in my garage this summer and hardly got any spit on the windshield from making the vroom noise... :lmao:
