Why do people drive in crappy, snowy weather w/o their headlights on? It seems the odds are increased if the person is driving a silver or white vehicle :cussing: . You would think that these idgits would notice all the vehicles heading towards them w/ their headlights on are easier to see & as a result turn on their headlights.
I guess as mentioned in another post it boils down to common sense.

Of course it's not as bad a problem up here, as you know Kris, with daytime running lights being standard in Canada since 1990. What bugs me is idgits who assume that this is enough and don't turn their marker lights on as well. Even with DRL, you still can't see someone from behind....

my seirra pickup turns the lights on automatically even with out the switch being on, since ive owned the vehicle for a yr now i dont think the switch has been turned on more than once. all it has to be is a little dark out.

DRL's have been mandatory in Manitoba for all vehicles built after December 31 1988. Works nice. But I also know at times in a heavy snow storm if I just shut my head lights off and keep my running lights on i can see a lot better cause the light isn't reflecting off the snow and bouncing back at me.

Better you no dumber than the highways crew that came past my place the other day. Sanding truck went past and then less than 2 minutes later a series of 3 plow trucks cleaning the road. Way to go idiots. There goes the sand and thanks for taking it down just to the ice.
