I just bought a 2004 mxz 800 Ho rev with x package. It has 1400 km and is spotless. There is not to much trail riding here yet, but iv had it out the the lake a fair bit. I haven't noticed any big difference in the riding position yet{i'm guessing ill notice on the trails}, it feels much like a normal sled.. Does anyone know of anything I should watch out for with this sled? Who has something similar and how do you like it on the trails?

Those precision skis will push badly when cornering in deep snow (unless you have shaper bars instead of the useless stock ones) so DON'T corner powder at high speed or you'll be in the trees. Everything else is set up pretty good on that sled.

Enjoy,

Ya the precisions are junk. Toss them and put anything else on unless you like playting in the trees. I found the X package suspension to be way too soft as well. Contact Big John who is on Doo Talk and he has a great kit to wake that engine up and give it more kick......Oh ya I almost forgot to tell you about the rings. Do a cylinder leakdown test. Not a compression test. Do the leak down and if you have more than 15% leakage your rings are shot. Highly likely with even that little milage.
