Heard lots about Amsoil for good power valve performance, but what type of oil should I use(product name). Also, has any one heard of IPONE synthetic snowmobile oil, is it any good! Thanx in advance. Play in the xtreme!

topic comes up all the time,,,, just for the record, I have used amsoil for a few years,,,, I run the interceptor in my firecat with power valves,,, I love it ,,, I went to clean the power valves this spring and they were already clean!!!!

I am sure that klotz, and cat oil. as well as blue marble all also have a good product,,,,

The never ending topic is oil.............my trusty steed is run on Amsoil only, 7000 miles with no issues, just under 10,000 on my last sled with zero issues and clean valves.
Great oil at a great price........why spend more.

Klotz is the way to go, valves are clean, its smells great and I get it for $19 a gallon plus shipping. Now you really can't beat that.

Amsoil for sure. A friend of mine ran Klotz in his Viper and had to clean the valves more than with Yamalube.

I would say that if your apv is unhooked, then I wouldnt run the sled. I would get it fixed,,,,

My advice would be- use whatever kind of oil you want- just learn a little about your valves- how to clean them- then you can clean them regularly. I do, and I enjoy it. I haven't noticed any difference from APV Synthetic to ZRV oil( Arctic Cat's regluar apv oil) Don't see too much of the ZPV oil anymore. I know there will be people saying to use their brand of oil so you don't have to clean your valves. I just say- I like puttzin on my sled.

Cleaning the vlaves is not a difficult task. Do a search on this site. I know someone had a link on how to clean them.

Good luck!
