Tried to search but found no results. Does the 86 Phazer have a fuse that I should know about.
There are no headlights/tail lights and no dash lights. They were working fine yesterday.
The machine runs great and the hand warmers work but the lights do not work.
If anyone has had this problem any ideas would be help
Thanks

Voltage Regulator may be shot. Should be down under the hood somewhere by your right foot. Warmers are probably wired direct, where as power to the lights runs through the voltage regulator. You'll see the regulator. It's a square metal thing with a blue wire comming out of it.

Sounds like a broken wire to me. You can eliminate the voltage regulator easily by unplugging the blue wire from it while the sled is idling, if the lights don't come on, its not the regulator. I'd look in 2 places: First check where the handwarmers are tapped in, I've seen some awful ways of connecting these! Secondly, I believe the Blue wire runs up the handlebars then splits off to power the headlights/taillights, brake, and dash lights. There are plugs at the base of the handlebars (near the airbox somewhere) check for power here (I think its a blue wire, could be wrong).Verify voltage at this point, or lack there of. Often the wire breaks in the handlebars from steering movement. I don't remember any of these sleds having a fuse. Hope this helps, good luck.

Your voltage reg , drop your PTO side panel it is up under your foot slot . As for the fuse there is one under your handle bar cover along with a bunch of wires . Good luck .
