Hello all. I have been away for a while but now I need the help of fellow yamamaniacs...

I have my 1999 Srx in pieces (don't ask why) and I have got two spacers from the chaincase that I'm not sure where they go. One is about a 1/4 inch thick and the other is almost a 1/2 inch. I can't seem to make them fit. I know that one goes on the top and one goes on the bottom but which goes where???

Any help would be awsome..

Go to Yamahas web site, and find the online parts cat. Navigate to your year and model, you can bring up an exploded view that will show you all you need to know

from the fische it's kind of hard to see which spacer is thicker than the other... When reassembling parts to chain case, I always look carefully to be sure that all gears are the same distance from the back side of case.... When this is true, you know the gears are lined up perfectly for the chain to track straight and the spacers are in correct locations....
