Will be up in Bessemer at the home this weekend, for a couples weekend, leave tonight around 7pm after the Chicago area cleans up the dumping we received! Will be bringing the wife's 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited, with the Hemi, about 4 days old! Anyway, one couple has never been sledding before and the other has only been sledding twice and wants to get into the sport with a Touring machine and/or a touring slash trail sled. The man of that household bought a ZR900, 2004 since he likes bombing across the lakes in a straight line! Any recommendations, on what touring and entry level machines I could advise them on? The newbies are using my parent's 2002 Grand Touring 800, which has 100 miles on! The novice's wife will be riding a my ZR600 hopefully she doesn't wreck it LOL. Need help since they are buggin the crap out of me!!! I think I just might tell them to buy a T660 Turbo Touring or the I know, ski dod GSX a capable trail performance sled that can be converted to a tourer. Need Help!

I definitely agree with the T660. Or possibly a newer Polaris(I can't believe I am saying this) Classic with a stock M-10 suspension. Both sleds would be a comfortable ride, and would have a little performance for the trail.

Wow, A Polaris! I was a die hard Polaris man until 1999 - 2000 when they could not keep up with the rest of the industry. I had a 2000 500 XC and a 2001 800 XC with a variable exhaust kit. The 800 was a dog and nothing but problems, the 500 XC after tons of mods was a pretty good trail sled. But I was sick of the outdated technolgy.
