A group of us that all own Arctic Cats 600 EFI sleds, ranging in years from 2000, 2001, 2002 are experiencing bogging to not running at all.
We tried cleaning the smart valves on 4 sleds and we are still having trouble. What else should we check or do? We started the year out with fresh gas in all 4 sleds and added gasline antifreeze(isopropyl alcohol). Took 2 of 4 sleds out tonight and worked fine for 1/2 mile and then they both acted up. The 3rd one we went so far as to put a new fuel pump in and it still is acting up.

My brother's 02 ZR 800 CC just went through it's 2nd smart valve over Christmas. I talked to our dealer and he is not impressed with the smart valve design, however, it does do its job. He said that there was a white film or something in the gas tank that they had to clean out.

A sure sign of a smart valve that is done is a kind of squeaking noise that you can hear. The sled will idle fine, but will not go when given gas.

check your tps switch, had two go this year on a 98 and 99 zl and zr 600 efi. easy fix is to cut the black and white wire that runs with the yellow and black to the kill switch. or try replaceing the bushings and switch
