Ceaser,

What model of carbs are you running on your Exciter? You also need to specify what the main jets are, altitude where you predominately run the machine at, and of course what the piston wash looks like, and finally what is the color of your spark plugs. What did you do, burn a piston? :cussing: Tell me what torque specifications you need and I will get them for you!

i think these carbs are a (b )series they have round float bowls and butterfly throttle just one adjustment on top.i also need all engine touque spec (head ,crankcase ,ect )i think the pistons went because she blew a seal on pto side and i didn't shut her off tried to get her home long ways to walk and it didn't stay going anyways the strangest thing i ever seen is on both piston the oil stuck to the side burnt and sticky thank for replies

Ceaser,

Here are the torque specifications:

Cylinder Head Bolts, First Stage 14 ft-lbs
Cylinder Head Bolts, Second Stage 20 ft-lbs
Cylinder Head Nuts, First Stage 14 ft-lbs
Cylinder Head Nuts, Second Stage 24 ft-lbs

You need to torque the heads in a crisscross pattern. What I do is torque the head, come back about eight hours later and re-check the torque because the head gasket will take a set. Then after I start it and bring it up to operating temperature I shut it down and re-torque for the last time. By doing it this way I have never had any leakage what so ever!

Crankcase Bolts, First Stage 9.4 ft-lbs
Crankcase Bolts, Second Stage 19 ft-lbs
Crankcase Cover 17 ft-lbs
Engine Bracket and Crankcase 19 ft-lbs
Decompression Valve 17 ft-lbs
Engine Mounting Nut 29 ft-lbs
Coolant Drain Bolt 23 ft-lbs
Starter Pulley 14 ft-lbs

Now for the Mikuni Carbs, the below spec's are for stock settings:

Mikuni B44-36
Main Jets 138.8
Pilot Jet 105
Pilot Air Screw (turns out) 5/8 turn
Power Jets:
Left Hand Carb 123.8
Right hand Carb 128.8
Float Level 11-13 mm (0.43-0.51 in.)

I am leaving in the next hour to go out of town snowmobiling for the next several days, so if you need anything else, drop me a line!

Good Luck!
