I am getting ready to go the the Black Hills (hope there is enough snow!). I am a flatlander, and I ordered the jets and needle jets I need. I noticed the stock needle jets do not have different clip positions =on them, where the one I am ordering does. Is there a version of the stock needle that does have the clip positions on it? The sled runs great, but I thought it might be nice to have the adjustabilty on the needle jets. Stock sea level needle 9HGY1-58, 6000 ft needle 9HGY4-58. Also, what is the diff between these two? I will be running at about 5000 ft to 6000 ft.
One more. I am thinking I am going to set the primary clutch for 4000 ft. The altitude is 5000 to 6000. My reasoning is once I go to 6000 on the high alt chart, I have to change spring, ramps, pins. Am I asking fo trouble, or should I be OK? Thanks!
