My sled is engaging at 5500 Rpm, has little or no pull to it. Tops out about 80 mph with the clickers set at 5 and the rpms rev at 8 grand.
Clickers set at 3 it revs to about 7200 Rpm and tops out about 75 mph, Im not sure what the problem really is if its a bad clutch spring. But it has no pull at all gets alittle better with the clickers set high.

I'd check that belt out first. Much cheaper to replace the belt. If you see the cord starting to fray on the outside of the belt, time for a new one. If that isn't it then check out the Ski-Doo clutching bible.

a belt can look pretty good and be way too narrow too.

Bought a new belt and still acts the same. Probably have the dealer I bought it from look it over.

Since you have a new belt on and it still does it. How long since the clutch has been taken off and everything cleaned real good ?

No real idea on that, bought it from a dealer this fall. It it pretty simple to take apart and clean. My freinds dad said it can gain a lot of power back with a good cleaning of the clutch. Hmm...

No big deal on cleaning Paul click high tech tips and there is a lot of info in there. You will need a clutch puller tool or borrow one from your dealer. First time I took my sled over to Dealer and he pulled the clutch then I went back home and cleaned everything and put it back together. Good luck and it will make a big diff.

I have a 99 MXZ 600 - clickers are set at 3 and it rocks! Once you get it back together - might want to start the clickers at 3.

Shouldnt even need a clutch puller. Pull the side cover off the pan. Then just slide the outter half off. The inner sheave can stay right on the shaft.
