My 03 Polaris ProX rides way to stiff, any suggestions.

Thinking about a new spring or something. Rather not revalve until next year.

How many miles on it? I've heard that they're alot better after they break in.

Does the 03 have the adjustable clicker shocks like my 04 ? If so, real simple, dial them back. Setting " 1 " is softess, then it goes up to " 9 " ( I think ) which would be stiff. Try starting at a midway point and go from there.

What have you done/tried? Do you believe it's the springs, or the shocks? Front and rear, or just one end? What are you using for sag dimensions? Trails only?

2000 miles on it.
The clickers are in the 1 position.
I want it to take the bumps like the XC's do, I mean I feel everything in that suspesion.

I had heard the '04's had a pretty good ride. Have you set the sag in the rear? How much?

I have a pair of stanard springs from my 02 Edge you can buy or swap. Springs are located near Irons.

the prox is going to ride stiff , its an air time, ditch bangin , hard ridin sled. I put in some softer torsion springs , reduced all the coil spring preloads , and turned down all the shock damping on my wifes 04 700. Shes about 130 lbs., gets proper sag now , says it rides a lot better , still cant bottom it.

My 03 rode real stiff even with my 300 plus lbs and everything backed off. I relocated the RSS to the next hole back and and moved the rear sissor forward on the slide rail from the center hole it was mounted in originally. The skid rides so nice now I'm thinking of putting it in my Fusion which is stiff and doesn't have any adjustments other then the rear spring cams or softer springs.

I was floored when I saw the suspension under the Fusion the first time I saw it. When the salesman who was standing near by (in a respected dealership) ask me for my impression, I told him in no uncertain terms, that I wasn't impressed. He ask why. I told him of my concern regarding the loss of all the adjustment capability that even the Edge suspension has. He then asked "do you know what all those holes are for?"

I figured it was time to leave and go find something else to do.... haven't looked at a Fusion since. It can't cost THAT much to drill the holes some of us are used to. Guess I could, but that misses the point.

The first thing to do is to revalve all and a spring change on the front.
I have revalved and springs on alot 03`s and still have guys calling.
I have a valve spec sorted and dynoed as I have only owned Pro X`s since 2001.Raced X-country and snocross for 8 years before that.
You can send them to me and will do the set-up and tell you the springs you need.
