I love my 00 Sno Pro and have had no desire to get rid of it except for another new Sno Pro. My bud (135 lbs) has a Patriot F7 in the wings for this season. I *weigh in at 250 lbs. The performance of the Sno Pro is pretty dang good givin my size. However, I am in need of some perf mods to compensate for his new F7; he had a 00 ZR600 gas pig that was easy to keep up with. The F7 is going to be a different story because it is so light and so powerful. This question is for those that may have Sno Pro experience in terms of what really works. My sled is used on trails and powerline areas and not raced at all. We are some pretty aggresive sledders and we are not afraid of a really steep hill climb. What works? Is it D&D or Black Magic that has the setup. Gears, Pipes, Clutch kit anything else. TIA

I don't think there is anything you can do to be able to keep up with him other than going with a Big Bore Kit. *We ran a 640 Hooper kit in our Sno Pro. *It was unbelievably fast until the motor blew about 700 miles into the season. *That is the only hands on experience I have had. *By the way, the sled was ridden on the trails, not raced. *I think you might want to get a bigger sled!!! *Good luck!!

Take your 440 motor out and bore the case to fit a 600 top end. Then you send your cyclinders to BM and have them make it a 678 with some mild porting and you may end up with around 140hp out of a lite sled whitch will wake you up. I have a pro open 678 mod that I would race any 800 with and I know I won't have any problem winning. I have a 2001 snopro chassis with the 678 set-up and it really rocks. I use it for ice drags only. It has never been on the snow. I know this set-up works for a fact cause I raced a 2002 snopro ZR with a 730 speedwerx motor and kicked his royal ###. Your type of advice is something I have really wanted to do, but couldn't get the balls to attempt it. I was thinking more along the lines of pipes, gears, clutching. However, I still might if I can get the nerve up try an upgrade like this. Here's my questions for ya.

1. You say bore the case for a 600 top end. Do you mean change the rods and make the case work with them. Kind of like a stroker. Who would do this? BM?
2. With all that you suggest, does this mean a different CDI, carbs, clutch changes.
I just need a bit more details.
