Listowel is supposed to have snow racing this weekend and although it may be cancelled, I still have some questions.

I've never been to a winter drag event of any kind and was just wondering what some of the rules were as far as safety equipment , studs, and so on. I'm thinking of go to one or two just for fun. There's no studs on my Fusion.
Do you need a tether switch? What about helmets or other safety protection (TekVest?)? What age can you start racing and not the 120's, full size machines?
