Hey, just wondering how i can remove the mirrors from my F-chassis hood, the mirrors are under neath the windshield. looks like they are held on by to nuts and a spring, but when trying to loosen the nuts the bolts turn as well?? Any thoughts? thanks- Neil :)

if you are taking them off and not putting them back on ,see if you can use dremel with cut off wheel, cut the nut off

My question is why remove them? :dazed:

You can't see them

so it cannot be an esthetic thing

Now you are going to need to turn your head around all the time to see where your riding partners are

I will never understand why some remove safety features :sarcasm:

With all the pics I posted of my sled have you noticed I have the same mirrors as you?

aka they are in behind the flare of the windshield

my next sleds will have at least one mirror,I hate looking back :undercover:

Oh well

Cory- I compressed the spring, and turned the little locking mechanism which acutally removed the mirror itself, then, it enabled me to get a phillips screw driver on the other end of the bolts. i then removed both bolts and then popped off the base of the mirrors.

FB- i removed them simply because, 1) i never use them 2) i think they look ugly while sitting on the sled and 3) because when i look into them all i see is my arm, and when i adjust them, a couple minutes on the trail and they have shifted around again.

Go out riding. Make a sharp turn to the right or left. The sled will probably roll.

This is the story of I lost my mirrors.
