On my 86 eltigre 6000 there is a white plastic loop that connects the front arm to a bar that goes between the slide rails. I was wonderin what does this do and what effect will it have if i take it off? ( will my suspension go hay wire, will it transer weight somewhere??) any help appreciated.

tighten it for more ski pressure.
remove it if you want to destroy your shock.
