I'm looking to find a used ZR rear suspension for my 99 ZL and i was just wondering if anyone knows what years ZR suspenions bolts right in. I heard the 99 ZR does, but not sure if a 2000 or even 1998 would work. I appreciate any info fellas.

What is your sled??
If it is 96 or older you might hve to drill some new front holes.
The ZR skid would be my choice for the fox shocks... Ryde FX are throw aways once they go bad... unless you upgrade those too.
97 up has the TSL/ETT suspension.

I believe any 99 or newer ETT ZR skid will fit in the ZL since it's the same tunnel. The front arms on the ZR skid are longer so you'll have to drill out the holes. The holes are already in the stiffener brackets - just have to drill through the tunnel. Then you'll need bolts/nuts to mount the front arm since it doesn't bolt into the shaft like the ZL. I just put my '99 ZR skid in my wifes '98 ZL and installed a '02 ZR skid in my sled. So 98 - 02 ZR skids should definitly fit. The Rydefx shocks in the ZL were totally blown out after 3500 miles. No signs of leakage but I can push the shock in real easy and it never comes back out on its own. Can't wait to ride with my fresh suspensions - if we ever get decent snow in Central New York.
