Just think where Rudd might be if it weren't for the crappy luck he's had, he has had the car to beat numerous times.

I would just like the money Stewart has paid in fines this week!

Did anybody watch today's race? What was Spencer doing after the last restart? He tries to get a lap back by racing Jeff Burton, then when Burton got by him, he starts to race Jr. & the rest of the race leaders http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleepy.gif Once he went down the lap, he should have let the other guys go. But then maybe Jimmy didn't know he'd been lapped. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif

I read a comment in the Toronto Sun last week that he might be out of the 41 car after this season. Good riddance!!

I think Awsome bill was gonna win if he didnt have that shifter problem.

It's pretty cool the way Bill Elliot has been running this season. He's been in the front of every race at some point and time . That shifter really did suck but he wasn't falling back do to it. Other tracks he would have but his car just went away from them and they could never get it dialed right. I wonder if They will *keep casey attwood with the pooor season he has been having. I don't think he truelly has what it takes.

He shouldnt have been racing them!! I too have heard the rumor that he may be out of a ride next year. Frankly Im surprised he is where he is. He hasnt had that much success. He didnt even qualify for Daytona. I dont think that money is an object for that team at all. Just my opinioin http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif

From NASCAR.com:

Sterling Marlin, who led the Winston Cup standings for 25 weeks, will miss the rest of the NASCAR season because of a fractured vertebra in his neck.

Marlin was injured in a crash Sunday in Kansas City, and the break in his vertebra was diagnosed Wednesday in Charlotte, the Chip Ganassi Racing team said.

"It is unfortunate that Sterling has to end his season early due to his injury," Ganassi said. "Sterling has dominated the championship points race, and we were looking forward to helping him win his first NASCAR Winston Cup title. We are expecting Sterling to make a full recovery and be ready to go for the title chase again in 2003."

Jamie McMurray, hired to drive a third car for Chip Ganassi Racing next year, will drive the No. 40 Dodge Intrepid for the rest of the season as well as complete the Busch Series schedule.

That was a surprise to me!! I was rooting for Marlin to win it!! I know Jamie had tried to qualify for some races earlier, did he make it for any? If so, how many? Will he be able to run for Rookie next year? I think seven is the cut off for a year. He will be running six races. Did anybody read Track Smack today? It talks about Kenny Wallace racing for Petree w/ Carrot Top! I thought he was running for Bill Davis and Hills Brothers coffee. Did I miss something? Where is Tommy Baldwin going to end up. I thought this would have happened before DEI signed somebody for Park. He wanted to go there.

5 is the cutoff for rookies. I think he's going to miss a race because of BGN commitments. He hasn't qualified for any races yet this year.

Man that sucks.

Im still going that awsome bill will win 2 more races this year. His car seem to make huge power so his builder knows what hes doing. Tallidaga will be his next win.

IMO I think after the death of his father Earnhardt JR lost his nerve. Before he would be an aggressive driver that would do anything to win, now he moves out of the way so some one can pass. I dont think he has what it takes to win in Nascar. Just my opinion.

I would like to see, Kyle petty win same with Earnhardt Jr, and some of the other vetrains that have been silent for so many years.

My vote's for Stewart. I like anyone who drives for JGR. Too bad about Marlin, I was hoping he'd finish strong. It's also good to see Petty and Elliot having respectable years.

Sorry machzzzz1 Talladega this sunday is JR`s race. ;) And i dont think he lost his nerve, if anything he more of a reason to push to the top like dale sr did, it all takes time.

What the %^&* was Martin doing? :withstupid: I haven't seen the tape of the race yet, but he says there was some kind of "hydraulic" problem & the steering locked up. I know they run power steering, but have never heard of that happening. Maybe the steering wheel did come off & he didn't want to admit it. Isn't that what happened when Steve Park got hurt?
