Can someone with a little more knowledge check this for me.
I need a new ignition coil for my sled, I was doing a little searching and found this one. http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/01-089-5.html
Now MY OEM P/N is 410.9205.00, the P/N on this one is 410.9201.00.
Mine is a 97Formula this one is for a 93 Formula. They of course look the same and every where I look people seem to be saying that this coil fits all kind of machines. As you can see the price for the coil is WAY cheaper then ANYTHING I have found anywhere.
Is this a case of looks to good to be true of am I going to be cut a break when it comes to purchasing this part ?
We are finally getting some snow in Ohio and of course my sled is dead.
Ugh, it figures.
Thanks for any help guys.

The price sounds about right, but I can't say with confidence that you're picking the right part. Especially with the different OEM part number cross-reference that you noticed yourself. I guess I wouldn't risk it without knowing for sure. Dennis Kirk sells these aftermarket coils for between $30 and $40 all day long, and you can probably get an OEM from the dealer for about $55 to $60. So I'm sure someone is selling the good aftermarket part for $30 on the internet, but you need to confirm you're getting the right one before you do it. Incidentally, Dennis Kirk lists about 8 different coil part numbers in their catalog for the Formula series. So there are obviously some differences and they're not one size fits all.

Your biggest risk is the same as buying anything else from strangers on the internet...What happens if they ship you the wrong or defective part? By the time you pay multiple shipping charges and deal with the hassle, you might wipe out your $20 savings.
