Well as some of you has read, I had some problems with the f7 while up in Newberry last week. After pulling it apart in the garage, I will have to send the cylinder in to have it replated,,, I will also be buying new piston, rings, etc...
If anyone knows of a good place to have it replated, please let me know. I have a couple leads already.
With all this in mind, I figured I would simply get the zrt running here now while we have some snow to ride on and just take it up to Newberry for the swworld ride,,, sounded like a plan. I was going to bring it along as a backup for the f7 since I cant bring the vmax because it is seized.
Well I go out and start the zrt up,,, runs fine,,, let it warm up about 5 minutes then ran it around the house once,,, no problems,,, so next step was to run it over to the school bus garage and around it once or twice, then I was going to park it and wait for school to let out so my son could ride his 120 with me,,,,
on the way to the bus garage (1/10th of a mile),,,, motor went out on the zrt,,, I think I busted a connecting rod,,, I can turn the crank but can not turn it a full revolution. I go from about 11 o clock on the clutch, turn it counter clockwise and it stops about 1 oclock,,, then I can turn it back to 11 oclock turning it clockwise.
I simply pulled it back with the 370 and didnt even look into it,,,,
this is getting ridiculous,,,, I am starting to think snowmobiling isnt for me,,, I have never had a motor go out on me till this year and I have lost 3 this winter!!!! This crap is getting old quick,,,
so as they say, when it rains, it pours
