ANYONE know how to raise the front of a 97 mxzx to make it sit higher?
Could I just use springs or would I need all new shocks put in?

Whats the difference between a 97 and 98 mxzx suspension?

There is no differance between 98 and 97. If you want more travel you need a little longer shock. If its just sagged out then get new springs.

What kind of shocks should I get?

I've had 97 and 98, they are exactly the same. Minor differances here and there. They shocks are all the same between the 2.
On my 97 I widened the stance out to 42.5 and used Fox shocks from a 440 Polaris with extra 10. Center to center was 15.5. the shocks you have now are 14.5. I also put an sc10 2 in the back. Direct bolt in. Great sled to ride.
The front end already has alot of travel, just get new springs. The remote shocks on there give the most travel you will get without bottoming out sooner with a longer shock. Plus the stock geometry wasn't designed to fall out any more than it will.
