just bought HotGrips SPX, and am not sure exactly where to splice them into the system. I want to use the same swith on my sled. These handwarmers only have 2 wires coming out of them the stock had 3.
Any advice would be appreciated

3 wire grips do not use an external resistor for high and low output. one wire is for high, one is for low and one is ground.
2 wire grips must use an external resistor for high low output. one is for ground, one is for power.
leave the center wire on your oem switch, that is the power coming from magneto.you can re-use the oem wires if they are undamaged, or run all new wires if you want. of the three oem wires passing through your bars, you will only be using 2 for the hot grips. one will be the oem ground wire...you need to trace that back to a ground point or get a wiring diagram. pick one of the two remaining wires running down the bars, to be the power supply wire. wire from one side of switch to the resistor, and from the other side resistor, to the power wire towards the grips. wire from the remaining switch terminal directly to the power wire running towards the grips. you can tie the direct from switch wire together with the output side of the resistor wire...to the wire heading toward grips.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
oem ground wire---> #1 hotgrip wire
oem power wire from magneto---> center terminal of three pole oem switch
outer switch terminal 1--->#2 hotgrip wire
outer switch terminal 2--->resistor---->#2 hotgrip wire
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
if the switch operates backwards(high is low, low is high), just reverse the two outer switch wires.leave the center one alone.
minimize wire length, maximize wire diameter, solder connections if possible, or crimp well and tape up tightly to keep water out.
