Hi all,
I want to unplug the Throttle Safety Switch to troubleshoot a "bogging" issue I'm having but am not sure where the actual plug is to unplug it.
The sled is a 2000 ZR 600 LE "carb".
I look at the kill switch, and follow wires down through the handle bar foam, but can't find the actual connection plug. The only plugs I can see are at the CDI box, inside the hood beside the air tool box.
Does anyone know where exactly this connection plug is?
Thanks

On my ZRT , just follow down the wires from the throttle, was about 10 to 12 inches down, near where the wires went in by the steering.

If you are just testing... there is a plug under the steering pad. Unplug it and it bypass the switch but also the kill button!!
Fine out if it is the switches with out cutting the wires first. You can always do the surgery after!

Is it safe to run the sled with this switch disabled? I don't mind having to turn the key to turn off the sled, but if it will damage the engine, I definitely don't want to be running it.

No damage will occur...........it's there strictly as a safety measure. You'll know if you located / unplugged the correct wires as both the throttle switch and kill switches will no longer work.
Good luck with it
