Here are a couple of links to trail conditions and some local pictures.
Snow looks good, and looking at the extended forcast, there should be some snow moving in the week of the ride, as well as temps in the teens for highs.
Dont forget to bring a couple of can goods (something people will eat...LOL) to the ride. We will have a box setup to put them in. Can goods will go to the local food locker for distribution to families in need.

It seems like minutes are lasting hours. The project that I was on at work got shut down for the week last Monday and all that I have had to do is sit at my desk and stare at the clock. Is it time to leave yet...how 'bout now??..............how 'bout now!??......is it time yet????........................................... .................................................. .................................................. ..........Now???? Sound like my kids LOL

The weather has turned to crap even up there. Is anyone backing out yet?
Chippewa snowchasers has bad news also but I think it will still be decent riding. Monday on has chances of snow but no big stuff.
Damn Feb. and spring temps, cant plan on anything anymore!
I'am still going, lots of back country to ride. If we can make it over to the Plains you can ride in their all day easy.

still lots of snow north of town,,,, and like you said, still lots of places to play. I am still going for sure,,,
I think they are calling for the temps to drop mid week and its still gonna get cold enough for them to groom overnight,,,,

This was copied from Michigan Interactive today the 7th. Hope thats OK.

WEATHER: Okay, we didn't really get the rain last night, when I went to bed there was a light drizzle, then this morning we started getting some light snow, it is still snowing so we will see what we will get out of this snow. We are at freezing right snow, and still snowing. the weather map is looking like we are 80% chance of 1-3 today and 1-3 tonight, Tuesday cloudy with a high of 24, and then snow again on Wednesday and Thursday. Temps all week are going to be low of single digits and high in the 20s. If this keeps up we will be back into winter,Please start doing the snow dance, we are going to need it! TRAILS: The groomers didn't run again last night due to temps were not below freezing again, but it looks like tonight they should run, if we keep going in the positive direction. After the weekend the south trails were down to dirt and sloppy snow, the north trails will varied in base and conditions. There are spots that are sheltered from the snow and had less of a base, there are areas that were in the direct sunlight and that is bad. Plowed roads will need more snow. You will find your best riding until we get this snow, on the fire lanes and unplowed county roads. I will let you know how this turns out by tomorrow. any questions email purpleyooper@sbcglobal.net

I spoke with my secretary today and she said it was snowing and they are expecting more tonight and tomorrow, I don't think it will be a large amount maybe 1-3 night and day. Anything would be nice. I rode from Seney to Grand Maris on Saturday, Temps in the mid 40's. The snow base north of 28 is in pretty good shape, south is questionable. I will still be up there, going to my office on Wednesday and will leave on Friday. I will be hitting the trails to layout a Poker/Fun Run my Association is having on the 17th.

I think the biggest problems are gonna be getting in and out of towns and trail heads. Again the snow north of Seney and around G Maris was good, no bare spots, at none that I encountered. I don't know what sundays warm temps did but I think as temps get back to normal this week we should be in good shape.

I will be staying at the Super 8 in Newberry come look me up if you like. I will be using the Alias of T Barnes.
