the low and mid range bog issue
this really #### a person off, it took me almost 2 snowmobile seasons to find this out, still really don't know why they hide this stuff from their customers, i have my thoughts on it but their to long to list

94ZR580 02-02-2005, 10:54 AM I remember reading somewhere that the jet sizing gets out of whack in the 500 range. There is a point where the flow rates are not uniformly incremental like we are used to with the smaller Mikuni main jets. This was an issue a few years ago with Polaris calibrations and they had to change 4 - 5 numerical sizes to achieve one "normal" size change from a fuel flow stand point. Don't be too upset about a big number change. You can probably find it if you check old SnowTech's from a few years ago.
CORY9 02-02-2005, 11:16 AM Boy that's got to tick you off. What about your dealer, how come he didn't know about this??
Snowride 02-02-2005, 12:16 PM Worst part about their TSB's is they expire after a certain date. The one which effects you expired 2 days ago and now you will need to pay out of your pocket for the parts and labor. :bash: Hopefully your dealer can fudge the date by a couple of days and get it covered but you better get it in quickly.
CORY9 02-02-2005, 03:09 PM I think I'd be on the phone to customer service if the dealer even blinks, two years with a problem they couldn't figure out? Not very impressive.
tony_opie 02-02-2005, 03:43 PM this bullten first came out about on the 30th af 2004, its just weird that they first bring it out now and not back when they had the red ski issue, plus my dealer is an awesome guy, he said this is the only one i never heard about, so not pissed at the dealer it also came out this week too
puree 02-02-2005, 10:09 PM wonder if cat would cover it for you being it just went out of warranty,,, maybe they would cover the parts and you cover labor,,, but anything would be better than nothing,,, good luck and let us know how you come out.
tony_opie 02-02-2005, 10:13 PM hey the issues just came out, i have until january 05 to get it done
84EVR 02-03-2005, 07:38 AM Well, atleast it's not expensive if you do have to pay for it. And pretty simple too.

The link you posted came out in Jan of 2004. It clearly states it will be not honored after Jan 30th 2005. If it just came out then they must have reissued a new one which is highly unlikely because the newer machines are corrected at the factory and this service bulletin is not necessary. If indeed they came out with a new one, it must be different than the old one.
ArTeeCat 02-03-2005, 03:06 PM had that recal done last january 04. It was not a recall at the time just a proactive snowmobile dealer adressing a noticable problem. Livingston's Artic Cat in Hillsborough, NH is the greatest dealer in the world
tony_opie 02-03-2005, 09:07 PM crap i got my months screwed up, dealer said they work something out for me becasue they are good people and seen that i was really pissed, sled is going in next monday
