Hey guys i hope you can help me out with this, so i drive a 1991 yamaha phazer 2 and it run good when it's above 4000 rpm, but as soon as i let off the thortlle the sled is gonna stall it's ok if i keep revving it up but if i stop it stall's within 10 seconds, and this is like 45 minutes into the ride, so what's up with it?

also do store that sell sleds do they do tune ups on sleds?

thanks

Yes, shops that sell sleds do do tune ups, that might be a good idea in ur case, because it sounds like one of ur jets in ur carb is plugged, not sure of which one from ur description. It is almost definately something to do with ur carb that is doing this and if u bring it into a dealers shop, and ask that the carbs be cleaned, that should fix up ur problem.

it isnt hard to pull and clean your carbs at all,,,, you do have to be careful with them though. sounds to me like your idle circuit is plugged,,, possibly an air screw out of synch. It never hurts to pull them and clean them real good. I totally disassemble mine and then use carb cleaner to clean each part. I then dry them with compressed air and reassemble. I do not know the exact specs of your carb,,, so I cant tell you how many turns your air screw is supposed to be out,,, but maybe someone on here can,,, that or you can get yourself a manual. good luck
